NWKT partners Tom Kendrick and Bains Fleming scored a double victory when the Alabama Supreme Court reversed the granting of a new trial following a defense verdict in a case alleging a business tort for intentional interference with a business relationship. The Alabama Supreme Court agreed with the defense position that not only did the trial court err in granting a new trial, but the case should never have even gone to the jury. The appellate court reversed an order for new trial for the plaintiff and remanded with instructions that the trial court enter judgment as a matter of law in favor of the defendant.
